We work on the brand, not just the assignment. That means we do it faster, pivoting all the time, always fighting for that fresh (and always bold) idea, the undiscovered potential.

Anson’s background as a former client marketer brings the “put yourself in the client’s shoes” way of thinking to Battery. Over the last 15 years, he went from leading brand marketing in the toy and video game industries to co-founding and then selling a social media agency RocketXL with clients like Dove, PepsiCo and the NHL. When not at Battery, he can be found chasing his 2 little kids around Los Feliz while building out his Star Wars toy collection.
Chief Creative Officer
Philip’s unwavering energy to create work that rattles the mind of the consumer drives our creative philosophy. A Canuck by blood, his career has brought him to BBDO Toronto, Grey Worldwide and Dare London, but he’s grown to love the sunshine in the City of Angels as an avid motorcycle rider. He can often be found on one of his favorite SoCal tracks racing his bikes in hairpin turns at over 140 mph.
Chief Production Officer
As a partner in Battery, Chris built out our internal production teams and external network. Before Battery, he built and sold his own trailer agency in the early 2000’s and headed up production at top LA shops like Ignition, Trailer Park and mOcean. Residing in Venice, Chris can’t help but bring a Zen like vibe to the hectic world of producing some of the world’s biggest campaigns.
Ray has a rich history of campaigns that build brands and sell products. Before Battery, he worked on high profile clients like Beats, Toyota and PlayStation. A Chiat and Saatchi alum, he’s won Clios, One Show, Cannes and pretty much every award out there. Ray is one of those guys who get up at 5am to drive from his downtown LA loft to surf El Porto before work every morning utilizing his self-rigged mobile shower.
An Art Director by trade, Bernie helped create some of the most notable campaigns of all time from Taco Bell’s Spanish speaking Chihuahua to a suicidal robot in General Motors’ Super Bowl spot. Bernie traded in his East Coast roots to settle in at Deutsch, Chiat and Team One before Battery. As a former professional skateboarder, Bernie spends two nights a week in the Santa Monica skate park teaching his 6,000 Instagram followers (@sk8boardingsaves) how it’s done.
Phil bridges the left and right parts of the Battery brain to drive strategic development. Familiar with client and agency, he’s done it all, from launching billion dollar entertainment brands including Batman, to managing flagship product for companies including Warner Bros., 2K Games, and Team One. Phil loves to think he has time to practice his passion for pugilism and punish the air with his fists of self-proclaimed fury. That is, when he isn’t overrun by his twins at home.
Judy is able to expertly navigate the worlds of production, technology, and advertising. From leading and building production teams and heading effects shops to traversing the planet to produce content for iconic brands like Lexus, Dr. Pepper, Madden, Infiniti, and the massive Beats World Cup campaign, she’s done it all. True to her southern roots, you can expect a few “y’alls” to slip once she gets to know you.
Amy Jo Devine
An Ohio native, Amy Jo was drawn to the West Coast at a young age. Starting her career in LA working in Motion Graphics then moving on to Visual Effects she has seen many sides of the entertainment industry. As production manager, she keeps the agendas in order and the teams in line. When not at work you can find her around Silver Lake doing some record shopping and keeping up with her 6 year old son, Sander.
